Ingredients
- 200g of 00 flour
- 100g granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100g melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 150g of fig compote
- A pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar for decoration (optional)
Procedure

Preparation of the dough :
In a large bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the melted butter and vanilla extract, continuing to mix until the ingredients are well combined. -
Mixing the dry ingredients :
Sift the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt, and gradually add them to the egg mixture, stirring gently to avoid lumps. Finally, add the fig compote and mix until you get a smooth and well-blended dough. -
Cooking :
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a 22cm cake tin. Pour the batter into the tin and smooth it out with a spatula. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. -
Service :
