A sweet commitment to support the Maria Letizia Verga Committee for the most fragile children

In a gesture of generosity and social commitment, His Majesty Sicily recently donated the delicious "Amuri & Cori" almond pastries to the Maria Letizia Verga Committee of Monza. The proceeds from the sales of these delicacies will go entirely to charity to support research. The choice of this specific donation was dictated by the awareness that children are the most fragile, and therefore deserve special support.

"An indestructible alliance based on believing together : parents, doctors, health workers, researchers, volunteers, friends supporters, associations, institutions and companies."

The association “Comitato Maria Letizia Verga” ODV, founded in 1979, brings together parents, volunteers, friends, supporters, researchers, doctors and health workers in an alliance that aims to improve the overall quality of life of children and young people affected by haemato-oncological diseases and highly complex metabolic and genetic therapeutic diseases.

Sweetness that Supports Research

The special packages of almond pastes not only satisfy the palate, but also represent a tangible commitment to scientific research. The fragility of children during difficult times such as the pandemic has pushed "Amuri&Cori" to select this cause, demonstrating that taste can be a vehicle of solidarity and hope, especially for those who need care and support.

A Collaboration That Makes the Difference

This initiative demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the private sector and charitable organizations. The choice to donate the proceeds to the Maria Letizia Verga Committee, with a focus on the most vulnerable children, is a significant step towards concrete support for research, demonstrating the tangible commitment of "Amuri&Cori" to making a difference in the community.

The Taste of Solidarity for Fragile Children

In addition to delighting palates with its unique creations, "Amuri&Cori" emphasizes that taste can be a vehicle to convey messages of solidarity, especially towards the most vulnerable children. Each package of almond paste purchased represents a small but significant contribution to research and a demonstration of affection towards those who will benefit from it.

A Sweet Thank You for Protecting the Little Ones

A heartfelt thank you to all those who supported this initiative by purchasing "Amuri&Cori" almond paste. With your contribution, we are together making a concrete contribution to research and helping to spread sweetness in every direction. Protecting the most fragile children is our mission, and thanks to your support, we are one step closer to achieving it.

The Committee 's vision

For 42 years the Committee has been engaged in the fight against childhood leukemia , addressing the disease and its treatment, taking on the family's problems in the name of a therapeutic alliance based on the identity of intent between doctors and parents. Thanks to the progress made by research , today more than 85% of children with leukemia or lymphoma are cured , compared to 30% in 1979. The Committee will continue to work to support research, so that even the 15% of children who today do not make it can achieve complete recovery.
